Affiliate & Commission Disclosure

Switch4Good is a commercial platform. We receive commission from service providers when supporters switch through the platform. This page explains how those commercial relationships work.

Commercial disclosure

Switch4Good Ltd operates as a commercial introducer. When a supporter uses the platform to switch energy, broadband, or another household service, the service provider may pay us a referral commission. This commission is the primary revenue source for the platform. These commissions are paid by the providers themselves — not by you. Your switching costs remain exactly the same whether you switch directly or through Switch4Good.

We disclose this relationship because we believe supporters have a right to understand the commercial context of any recommendation or service listing on the platform.

How commission affects what you see

Commission arrangements may vary between providers. We are committed to presenting services fairly and clearly, regardless of the commission rate offered. We do not promote a provider solely because they offer a higher commission, and we do not hide providers that offer a lower commission.

Where a provider is featured on the platform, it is because we believe the service meets our provider standards and is relevant to supporters. We disclose any material differences in how products are presented.

Commission rates never influence which providers we recommend or how we rank them. Our recommendations are based solely on:

  • Provider reliability and customer satisfaction
  • Regulatory compliance and safety
  • Value for money and service quality
  • Suitability for your specific needs

A provider offering poor value will never be recommended, regardless of the commission offered. Conversely, an excellent provider will be recommended even if they offer lower commission.

Allocation disclosure

At least 50% of eligible commission received by Switch4Good is allocated to support UK causes. The allocation depends on the product type:

  • Non-regulated products:commission share goes to the supporter’s chosen cause, if one is selected.
  • FCA-regulated products: commission share is directed to the Switch4Good Community Fund, in line with regulatory requirements.
  • No cause selected: commission share goes to the Community Fund.

Worked example. If a provider pays us £50 commission for your switch, at least £25 is allocated to support your chosen cause (or the Community Fund). The remainder supports the platform’s operations and team.

Transparency & confidence

We believe in complete transparency. When you see a provider on Switch4Good, you can be confident that:

  • We earn a commission if you switch to them.
  • A share of that commission supports your chosen cause or the Community Fund.
  • This commission does not affect your switching costs.
  • They are listed because they meet our provider standards and offer genuine value.

Affiliate relationships

We maintain affiliate or introducer agreements with each provider listed on the platform. These agreements set out the commission terms, payment timelines, and obligations on both sides. We select providers based on our published provider standards, not solely on commercial terms.

We do not accept payments from providers for preferential placement unless clearly labelled as such. Any sponsored or promoted content will be identified as such on the platform.

Regulatory context

Where Switch4Good acts as an introducer for FCA-regulated products, we comply with the relevant Financial Conduct Authority rules regarding disclosure, fair treatment, and commission handling. This includes ensuring that supporters understand the nature of the introduction and the commercial relationship involved.

Our commitment

We are committed to maintaining this transparent model. Our success depends on your trust, and we earn that trust by being honest about how we operate. If you ever have questions about our commission model or how it affects what you see on the platform, please contact us.
